  • Yeager Ocular Prosthetics, LLC

    Our colleagues in Iowa City, USA have created multiple resources for ocular prosthetic patients. We would like to share this site with you to encourage you on your journey of recovery. Of particular interest is “Olly the Octopus”, a stuffed animal who is hand made directly by Hillary Yeager (ocularist) to comfort children who have the need for an ocular prosthesis. They have an active social media site which provides information on ocular prosthetics in a fun way to help educate children and families affected by eye loss. It is with pleasure we share their site with you. We have no financial gain or interest in this company.

    We are passionate about caring for our patients in many capacities, including mental health. Many people have experienced loss and may need to process through their grief with a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Re.Pose is a team of therapists located in the lower mainland (and online) that use trauma informed therapy modalities. Please note, Joel Meszaros one of the counsellors at Re.Pose is married to Heather Meszaros.Joel has grown a passion for serving the patients of Pacific Eye & Facial Prosthetics Clinic through his training as a clinical counsellor. His heart is to help provide holistic care for each individual and their families who have endured suffering in many different capacities. Joel and Heather are working together to provide better patient care but are also committed to upholding a high degree of professional and ethical standards regarding patients’ confidentiality and autonomy.

We often use the resources of this well established Optical store in North Vancouver who have friendly, professional, and sensitive staff. We have collaborated with their staff to educate them regarding the specific needs of our prosthetic patients. A well selected pair of frames can assist with the final cosmetic result.
